If you got the munchies, you came to the right blog post. Ever wonder what Snoop Dogg likes to cure his munchies? We share it below, along with some of our favourites. So get a paper and pen ready to write your shopping list, and be ready next time the munchies hit!

Our day in the cannabis culture is coming up: 420! Whether attending a party or celebrating alone or with a few people, you may want to prepare for the munchies. You could make it easy and stock up with the usual chips and ice cream. But with just a little more preparation, your high-induced munchies will thank you for the extra effort!

Snacks to Satisfy The Munchies

From simple to elaborate (but always munchie-appeasing!), here are some snack ideas you might enjoy whether stoned or sober:

  1. Peanut Butter & Nutella on Graham. This snack is uber-easy, and the ingredients can almost always be in the pantry for when the munchies strike!
  2. Steph’s Supreme Tuna Melt-in-your-Mouth. This spin-off of the classic sammie is cost-effective, versatile, and simple to make. Use whatever bread or cheese suits your fancy. Steph, one of our High Class budtenders, uses rye bread and smoked cheddar cheese for this image. Make the tuna salad ahead: canned tuna (drained), diced onions, chopped dill pickle, jalapeno rings (if you like spicy), mayo, salt and pepper, all to taste. If you’re hosting a party, you can make these babies into sliders for easy sharing! When you’re ready, scoop the salad on the bread (not too thick in either case), top it with grated cheese, and pop it in the oven at about 350 degrees Celsius until the cheese is golden brown, the salad is warm, and the bread toasted. Serve with salt and vinegar chips as a complementary side.
  3. Cheesecake! This is High Class’ budtender, Mallory’s go-to munchie annhilitator. If you have the money, most grocery stores have cheesecake, sometimes frozen. But if you have the time and want to make your own, Sally from Sallysbakingaddiction.com has a Perfect No-Bake Cheesecake recipe with a cheesecake mousse filling. If you have mini-muffin tins, you can make these suckers into bit-sized party munchies so you can spread the love.
  4. Snoop’s Suped-Up Fried Bologna Sandwich. Check out this AllRecipes.com blog post (video included!) to know exactly how to make Snoop Dogg’s triple-decker fried bologna sandwich.
  5. Fresh Fruit & Dip. Inspired by Sherrill and Steph’s buddy, Christine, this fruit dip recipe will blow your sweet-and-healthy munchie craving out of the water! You’ll need Fluff, a whipped marshmallow ingredient sold in most grocers (click here for a homemade fluff recipe if you wish). Put equal parts of room-temperature cream cheese and your Fluff in a bowl, along with a 1/2 -1 teaspoon of extract (almond, lemon, vanilla, etc., whichever you like; the amount depends on if you use a full brick of cheese) and beat these three ingredients with a handheld mixer. Put it in the fridge until you’re ready to serve with fresh sliced fruit, like strawberries, pineapple, apples, pears, blackberries, bananas, peaches, etc.
  6. Cobden Deli’s Famous Waffle Poutine. While our Cobden Dispensary has moved to the location of the Deli, we remember their popular waffle-fry poutine! Hunt down some frozen waffle fries at your local grocer, a can of gravy (unless you know a fabulous homemade gravy!), cheese to grate (some prefer curds), and any other toppings you might like to add. How about some crispy bacon? If you’re having a 420 party, ask your guests to bring their ideal poutine toppings to share and ya’ll can be creative in the kitchen!
  7. Homemade Ranch Dip with Sliced Veggies and/or Chips. This is another easy and delicious recipe anyone can whip up at a moment’s notice if you have the ingredients on hand. Scoop out equal parts: cream cheese (ideally, room temperature), plain Greek yogurt, and mayo. Some people may prefer the dip to be more of either, so adjust to your preference. Throw in various dried herbs of your liking, oregano, mint, dill, chives, etc., in whatever flavour combos and amounts you think would be good together. Drizzle in some good-quality olive oil. Add cracked pepper and salt. Tip for when you’re eye-balling amounts and winging it: Start with tiny pinches of each ingredient, mix, taste, adjust, and repeat until the desired taste is achieved. 8. Sliced Apples and Celery with Cheese and PB. Did you ever try Ants-on-a-Log as a kid? It’s celery sticks with peanut butter scooped into the core and lined with raisins. Ah, memories. This is a perfect go-to multi-combo flavour snack idea. It’s nutritious, tasty, and fairly economical for being healthy!
  9. Christine’s Tuna Surprise. Remember our friend from the Fruit Dip? This is a great go-to, healthy munchie-cruncher that Steph remembers Christine making when they were poor graduates starting in the world. Mix a drained can of tuna, chopped onions (green is the best) and tomatoes, olive oil, pepper and salt. Serve with crackers of your choice. If you have it on the budget, add sliced old cheddar cheese.
